An Uttarakhand government official was killed after being hit by the moving tail rotor blade of a helicopter he was about to board in Kedarnath on Sunday, two days before the portals of the shrine are to be opened for the pilgrims.
The incident took place at a Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam Ltd (GMVN) helipad at around 2.15 pm on Sunday, a day after the portals of the Gangotri and Yamunotri shrines were opened for the devotees, starting the Uttarakhand Chardham Yatra.
Rudraprayag SP SP Vishakha Ashok Bhadane said that the deceased has been identified as Finance Controller of Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority (UCADA),
