IndiGo’s head Rajat Bhatia lauds unmatched growth of India’s Aviation sector

InterGlobe Group Managing Director Rajat Bhatia, the parent company of India’s largest airline Indigo, praised India’s noteworthy progress in the aviation domain, as ANI reported.

Bhatia stated,” The noteworthy development of airport infrastructure, highlighting its transformative impact on air travel accessibility.” These days air travel has become an essential part of the infrastructure of India as the number of flyers is increasing, earlier the government had a perception that traveling on planes was limited to elitists. He also emphasized on the growth potential of the aviation sector in terms of India’s population which is rapidly growing.

An overview of India’s current Aviation Infrastructure:
InterGlobe Group MD heaped praises for the government’s efforts in streamlining airspace management, especially post-COVID-19 pandemic, and on the initiative of ‘One Nation, One Space’, improving air traffic management and in its major role in tackling airspace restrictions.

He further explains that the current base of the aviation and hospitality sector is very meager compared to China’s aviation infrastructure, as 1.4 billion people are living in India the growth is going to be persistent.
Meanwhile, Bhatia and CP Gurnani of Assago declared a joint venture company on April 23rd named AlonOs. As per a report by ANI, the company will lead in providing artificial intelligence (AI) driven innovation in the fields of travel, hospitality, transport, and logistics.

Bhatia expressed excitement about the collaboration and said that InterGlobe has always spearheaded sectors of development and innovation.
