Shares of SpiceJet NSE -4.06 % fell over 4 per cent in Wednesday’s trade after the low-cost airline sent its 80 pilots on leave without pay for three months due to an excess of pilots.
Around 40 pilots from the Boeing 737 fleet and another 40 from the Q400 fleet- which operates on regional routes have been asked to go on leave without pay for three months, ET reported, citing sources.
