Budget carrier SpiceJet Tuesday reported a 22 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 56.3 crore in three months to March aided by higher ticket prices.
The Gurugram-based airline had posted a profit of Rs 46.2 crore in the last quarter of 2017-18.
Revenue from operations rose by 25 per cent to Rs 2,477.75 crore during the quarter under review as compared to Rs 1,995.04 crore in the corresponding quarter of earlier fiscal, SpiceJet said in a release.
For the full 2018-19 fiscal, the airline, however, reported a net loss of Rs 316.1 crore as against a profit of Rs 566.66 crore in the previous financial year.
