Work begins for cable-stayed bridge at Govindpur

The ambitious project of state road construction department (RCD) cable-stayed bridge at the Govindpur locality of the city has started progressing with commencement of work. The cable-stayed bridge is being set up keeping in view rising rush of movement of heavy vehicles from the industrial hub of Govindpur.

The bridge is being set up at a cost of Rs 138 crores by state road construction department (RCD). The bridge will be in association with SP Singla Construction Pvt Ltd. The spade-work for this ambitious project has begun in the form of sub-soil exploration work by another private agency.

This four-lane elevated corridor with cable-stayed bridge with approach road starting from Anna Chowk of Govindpur will connect to NH-33 at Pipla.
