HYDERABAD: The Telangana high court on Thursday issued notices to the municipal administration and urban development (MAUD) department, HMDA, Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited, IRB Infrastructure Developers and IRB Golconda Expressway Company asking them to file their counters in a public interest litigation (PIL), which challenged their decision to entrust the maintenance work of Nehru Outer Ring Road (ORR) to IRB.
A bench, comprising Acting Chief Justice Abhinand Kumar Shavili and Justice Namavarapu Rajeswara Rao, was hearing a fresh PIL on the subject filed by K Mahesh Kumar. Senior counsel Avinash Desai, who appeared for the petitioner, said that the tender was granted on a toll, operate and transfer mode for 30 years.
