WhatsApp pothole pics, KMC mobile vans will carry out repairs in 24 hours
KOLKATA: Next time you find a pothole near your home or in the neighbourhood, take a snap and send it to sthe mayor via WhatsApp on 8335999111. If the site requires urgent repair, the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) roads department will send a mobile road-repairing van to carry out temporary repairs within 24 hours.
Three such mobile vans are currently doing the rounds of the city. According to a KMC roads department official, the mobile vans are being used for on-the-spot repair along small stretches of major thoroughfares. They are also repairing broken neighbourhood roads.
