From May 1, 2023, Kolkata Metro will double its number of daily services on Joka-Taratala stretch of Purple Line. This comes just after four months of services beginning in that stretch. From May 1, 24 daily services (12 UP + 12 DN) instead of 12 services will be run in between Joka and Taratala from Monday to Friday. Frequency of Metro services on Joka – Taratala stretch (From Monday to Friday) will be 40 minutes instead of 60 minutes from that day. There will be no gap of services during noon hours on Purple Line.
