The government has told Indian carriers that it will allot international flying rights for this year’s winter schedule, starting from end of October, on the basis of their capacity utilisation in the recently concluded winter season.
This raises the possibility of some airlines seeing a reduction in their quota of flights, as the government puts pressure on them to increase frequency and arrest rising ticket prices.
