MUMBAI: Twelve people have been arrested out of 15 who have been booked in a railway employment scam busted by the railway police. Fake documents pertaining to reservation quota for government jobs were submitted by the candidates aspiring for posts of ‘police constable’ and ‘police driver’, said the police.
The railway police have registered an offence of cheating, forgery, breach of trust at Pant Nagar police station, Ghatkopar.
Of the 15 persons booked in the case, at least seven were job aspirants while five had helped supply the fake documents, the police said, adding that three others, whose role is not yet established, are still wanted.
