MUMBAI: After Centre on Thursday informed the Bombay high court that safety measures have been carried out and compliances are in place the HC disposed of a PIL filed last year by Harit Desai who had challenged a No Objection Certification (NOC) granted by Airport Authority of India (AAI) to Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) for construction of an overground Metro rail line within the Funnel Zone of Juhu Airport.
The AAI nod was for the Metro line to the East of the approach and take off climb surface of runways 26 and 08 at the Juhu airport.
The rail corridor is from DN Nagar, Andheri (west) to Mankhurd.
