Record number of surveillances carried out and pilot licenses issued: DGCA 2022 report
MUMBAI: The Indian civil aviation regulator undertook a record number of surveillances this year with 4378 surveillances undertaken so far, out of which 1365 were unplanned ones, said Arun Kumar, director general of civil aviation on Thursday.
The regulator also issued the highest number of Commercial Pilot License (CPL) issued ever in the last decade, with 1131 licenses issued.
Last year, in September, after a span of about 18 months, the Indian government had removed its restrictions to allow airlines to operate up to full capacity, with Covid cases on the decline.
