NEW DELHI: Even as lieutenant governor VK Saxena has approved around 1 acre land to be handed over to the Public Works Department for the Barapullah elevated road work, PWD officials said that there is still a patch of half-acre land that is needed to complete the project.
Saxena recently approved the acquisition of land for construction of piers for the project between Sarai Kale Khan and Mayur Vihar.
The LG House said the project had got a boost with Saxena approving the acquisition of the land. “While the LG’s nod has pushed us a step closer to completing the work under Phase III, we require some more land. The revenue department is working on that,” said a PWD official.
