Roads are lifeline of cities which are made at the expense of public and government fundings. Chandigarh roads are crying for re-carpeting, not patching. The stretch from Sector 2 road to Sector 10 roundabout is in a bad shape and needs urgent repair. The authorities concerned should look in to the matter at the earliest. Fix uniform rates at all parking lots
The Municipal Corporation has rightly introduced parking charges at 64 lots for first four hours after the 10-minute free period. Now, there is a need to provide smart service in each parking lot. A service boy should be employed to manage parking lots. The monthly pass facility will be helpful to regular visitors as there will have to pay less. The decision to charge double the parking rates near the multiplexes and shopping malls is not justified. There should be uniform rates at all parking lots. Sukhpal Singh
