Biomass conversion on mind, Power Minister visits GNDTP
Power Minister Gurpreet Singh Kangar on Sunday visited Guru Nanak Dev Thermal Plant, Bathinda, to explore the possibility of conversion of one of the plant’s units into a biomass-fed one. He said around 60 to 62 MW power could be generated at an investment of approx Rs 120 to Rs 150 crore.
284 power theft cases reported from PSPCL border zone
The border zone of the PSPCL has detected 284 power theft incidents and imposed a fine to the tune of about Rs55 lakh. The border zone comprises the districts of Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Gurdaspur and Pathankot.
