Airport Ground Handling

The government plans to bar ground handling agencies that are majority-owned by foreign entities from operating at airports belonging to the armed forces. Besides, it has proposed barring foreign airlines with foreign ownership of more than 50 pc from carrying out “self-handling” at any domestic airport.

No-fly List

The government has framed rules for dealing with unruly and disruptive behaviour by the airline passengers. Airlines will maintain their database which will form a national no-fly list of unruly or disruptive passengers. Individuals who have been identified as security threats by the union home ministry will also be included in the list.
