Secunderabad: Road repair and other infrastructure works are likely to take off soon in the Secunderabad Cantonment, with SCB officials clearing various proposals submitted by the engineering wing in its recent meeting. As per the plan, works to the tune of 1 to 2 crore will be taken up, including those that were delayed due to the rains.
Due to a shortage of funds, SCB will only attend to repair works instead of re-carpeting of roads, officials said.
For instance, internal roads at South Central Railway Colony in Picket, Shiva Arun colony, Vijayarangam Layout, Jupiter colony, Gunrock village, Cantonment Workshop, Rasoolpura, Pioneer Bazar, Sadar Bazar and other areas in the Cantonment, will be taken up soon.
