Residents of Phillaur and Nakodar sub-divisions have again urged Captain Amarindar Singh to direct the Public Works Department (PWD) to repair the Nurmahal-Phillaur Road which lies in an ignorant state.
In a fresh communication to the Chief Minister, Dilbag Singh, a resident of Baina Pur village, said the Union and state government were planning to celebrate the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev on large scale and had begun preparation for the same. For devotees from Dehli, Haryana, UP, Chandigarh and other states, Phillaur-Nakodar route is the shortest and easy route to reach Sultanpur Lodhi to participate in the anniversary celebrations, he added.
