Electricity tariff hike has upset common man’s budget: Grewal

Castigating the ruling Congress for this ‘anti-people’ decision, former minister and senior vice-president of SAD, Mahesh Inder Singh Grewal, said since the party came to power in the state in 2017, it had effected power hike for more than a dozen times.

The total impact of the power hike is enormous as it has been increased to the tune of 29 per cent during the past two years, he added.

The SAD leader said the uncalled for power hike had upset the budget of the people as the rising electricity bills had broken the back of the common man, who found it difficult to pay for repeated power hike every second month.
