Hyderabad: At a time when the Telangana government was struggling to mobilise funds to implement the welfare schemes, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), in little more than a year, has mobilised Rs 16,000 crore in land auctions and through 30-year long lease of Nehru Outer Ring Road.
While Rs 8,529 crore was earned through sale of lands in HMDA limits, the Authority may get another Rs 1,000 crore through some more land auctions. ORR toll successful bidder IRB Golconda Expressway Ltd deposited Rs 7,380 crore to the state government on Friday evening and took over the toll collection operations from Friday midnight.
