SpiceJet is going all out to fill the void caused by Jet Airways’ temporary shutdown.
The Delhi-based low-cost airline plans to start 28 new flights connecting Delhi and Mumbai with other cities on its domestic network. In a statement, the airline said half of the 28 flights will connect Mumbai, eight will connect Delhi, and the rest will connect the two metros with each other. All the new flights will operate daily.
The start of these services will see the airline adding 52 new daily flights to its schedule.
The new services announced on Tuesday will start from April 26 and include the Mumbai-Mangaluru-Mumbai and Mumbai-Coimbatore-Mumbai routes. SpiceJet will also operate additional frequencies on the Mumbai-Hyderabad-Mumbai and Mumbai-Kolkata-Mumbai routes and introduce two new frequencies each from Delhi to Patna and Bengaluru.
