MUMBAI: Four years after restoration of Lower Parel’s arterial Delisle road over-bridge (ROB) commenced, its reopening has been pushed forward yet again.
The BMC, which had proposed to open it up by August 31, has announced that now the works will be completed only by the end of October. The initial deadline for its reopening was May 2022, which has been pushed for the third time so far.
Additional municipal commissioner P Velrasu blamed the delay on “unavoidable circumstances”. Civic officials said the works were affected by heavy rainfall in July and “lack of gravel used in road construction”.
