MUMBAI: An unemployed man, who used to work as a watchman in Pune, has been arrested for assaulting a woman railway passenger.
On Sunday, around 4pm, the woman boarded the Bengaluru-CSMT Udyan Express from Pune to travel to Mumbai, where she had joined duty a week ago. She stays with relatives in Mumbai.
Around 8.27pm, the train halted at Dadar station. She was alone in the ladies’ coach when a balding man in his mid-thirties-later identified as Chaudhary-got in. She pointed out to him that the coach was reserved for women and he should get off. Chaudhary told her that he wanted to travel to CSMT to catch a train to his hometown in Madhya Pradesh,
