An Air India flight from Pune to Delhi developed a “minor crack” in the windshield but managed to land safely “ahead of its scheduled arrival time” in the national capital on Tuesday evening. All passengers and crew were safe, the airline said.
According to an official statement issued by Air India, the crack developed on the windshield on the right side of the aircraft. The aircraft, the statement said, will now undergo “necessary maintenance” for the windshield to be replaced.
The schedule of the flight AI858, which is available on the airline’s official website, shows its departure time from Pune at 3.55 pm and arrival in Delhi at 6.20 pm.
