After the recent first ever auction of 1,000 MW Wind Power projects by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), in which four companies were awarded projects of 250 MW each at Rs 3.46 per unit, ICRA has come out with a report saying now the wind power is competitively priced vis-à-vis solar power as well as other conventional power plants. But, it says, the viability will depend on the capital cost, long term debt and peak load factor. The four winning developers are Mytrah Energy (India)
