MUMBAI: For the first time in the history, Western Railway’s (WR) Mumbai division achieved the highest ever commercial revenue in 2022-23, an official said on Sunday.
“The division crossed the milestone of Rs.3,500 crore in commercial revenue and is committed to reach an overall revenue of Rs 3660 crore by the end of this financial year,” he added.
WR chief spokesperson Sumit Thakur said : “Mumbai division recorded its highest monthly earning in ticket checking for any division across Indian Railways in May 2022. Continuing in this direction, the division also saw the highest earning of all time in the reserved segment of ticketing.”
