The waste to energy plant which was to be built at the waste management plant situated at Shishambada in Dehradun is likely to be shifted to Roorkee. Municipal commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey stated that there were some issues regarding the construction of the waste to energy plant in the city from the government level which is why the plant is likely to get constructed in Roorkee.
Pandey said, “There were some issues regarding the construction of the waste to energy plant in Dehradun so it may likely get shifted to Roorkee. The Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) which is getting stored in the waste management plant may also get transferred to Roorkee.”
