Vistara, a joint venture between Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines, on Thursday announced the launch of its international operations from next month with flights to Singapore from New Delhi and Mumbai.
The carrier will operate two daily flights to Singapore, one each from Delhi and Mumbai.
Loss-making Vistara said the launch of its international flights was part of its plan to attain profitability.
The new services could also ease pressure on global fares, which rose as much as 32 per cent after the grounding of Jet Airways in April.
