MUMBAI: The new Vande Sadharan Push-Pull train entered Mumbai on Saturday and was kept at the Wadi Bunder yard on Sunday, before it undergoes trials this week, sources said.
The train will offer low fares for passengers and will run at speed as high as 130 kmph, sources added.
The 22 coach LHB non-AC 3 tier sleeper train without any automatic doors will have capacity of carrying 1,800 passengers.
Sources said the trials may be conducted on the Mumbai-Nashik corridor, especially along the ghat section.
