In a major development, Indian Railways is planning to extend its operation between Gorakhpur and Lucknow to Prayagraj even as preparations are going on to launch another Vande Bharat train, which will operate between Anand Vihar, Lucknow, and Ayodhya, as per the media reports.
As per the sources, 16 rakes have been allotted to Northern Railway from the Rail Coach Factory. According to a senior officer of the Railway Board, Vande Bharat Express will cover the distance from Anand Vihar to Lucknow in eight hours.
