A day after the engine of a newly launched Vande Bharat Express train was damaged after it hit four buffaloes which had strayed onto the tracks in Ahmedabad, another incident took place on Friday after the train hit a cow in Anand district. In both incidents, none of the passengers was reported hurt.
The fresh incident happened on Friday between the Kanjari-Boriyad-Anand railway stretch in the Anand district. At around 3:55 PM, the train hit a cow that had also strayed onto its track. Officials said that it was a minor incident and didn’t damage the train much but delayed it by 10 minutes.
