Lucknow: Attempts to rescue 40 labourers who were trapped after the collapse of a portion of an under construction tunnel on the Yamunotri (origin of river Yamuna) National Highway in Uttarakhand’s Uttarkashi district continued for the sixth day on Friday. The officials monitoring the rescue work said that it it could take two-three days more to bring the trapped labourers out of the tunnel.
According to the district officials in Uttarkashi, foreign experts, including a Thailand -based firm, which had rescued some children who were trapped in a cave in Northern Thailand in 2018 have been consulted.
