The electricity subdivision No. 4 under the UT Electricity Department has been at its wit’s end lately while trying to deal with a man, who is reportedly from Nepal, for the past over one year now.
The man has been accused of breaking off 11 KV GO switches at regular intervals at Dhanas and the nearby areas due to which harassment has been caused to officials of the Electricity Department, residents and shopkeepers of Dhanas.
Despite concerns of ‘untoward incident’ or probable damage to government properly has been raised by the Sub Divisional Officer (SDO), no concrete action has been taken by the police.
Last Monday, the Assistant Executive Engineer has written to the Home Secretary and the Senior Superintendent of Police requesting them to take action against the man.
