In a bid to accelerate industrial development across the state, the Uttar Pradesh government has unveiled a groundbreaking plan to establish an industrial belt along its expressways. A sum of Rs 3,000 crore in interest-free loan has been allocated to the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) to facilitate this ambitious project.
Additionally, the government has given the green light to the creation of a Pharma Park in Lalitpur.
These decisions were taken during a cabinet meeting held under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday.
Finance Minister Suresh Khanna explained that UPEIDA has been entrusted with the responsibility of spearheading the development of the industrial belt along the expressways.
