While presenting the Union Budget in the Parliament, finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman has proposed to increase the total investment by eight state-owned power companies by about 5 pc to Rs 51,470 cr in FY23. This compares to revised estimate of Rs 49,006 cr for the current financial year.
