NEW DELHI: Delhi transport minister Kailash Gahlot announced on Thursday that the forthcoming Electric Vehicles Policy 2.0 will address the issue of incentivizing the retrofitting of vehicles, given its substantial cost.
In an interview with news agency PTI, Gahlot stated that while the new policy is currently under development, they intend to extend the existing policy for an additional six months or until the new one is finalized.
The Delhi Electric Vehicles Policy-2020 expired on August 8 of this year, and the government had previously indicated that subsidies provided under it would continue until the implementation of a new policy.
