BENGALURU: Two youngsters who were injured in separate incidents of electricity pole crash in the city are bearing the brunt of official apathy.
Priya Garg, a 20-year-old college student, was badly injured after a pole fell on her. She was admitted to St John’s Medical College Hospital on August 22 and is still in the ICU, with her prognosis being closely observed, given that in such burn injuries, infections could occur. “She will require further stay at the hospital in order to address her condition,” said Dr Arvind Kasthuri, chief of medical services and professor of community medicine, St John’s. “Depending on the progress, she might be shifted to the ward for further management.”
