Vistara is drawing a lot of flak on microblogging site Twitter over first tweeting and later deleting a picture of its cabin crew with Major General (retired) GD Bakshi. The airline is receiving backlash from the right-wing handles who are claiming the action to be disrespect to the veteran Indian Army officer.
However, seeing the issue blowing up, Vistara, which is now in a damage control mode, said that posting photos with its customers is a routine practice for the airline.
“However, a recent such post generated numerous comments that were disrespectful to all parties concerned. We do not want our platform to be disrespectful or hurtful to anyone. Our decision to remove the post was driven by the objective of deleting such comments”, it added.
