CHENNAI: A Belgaum-Mysore TruJet flight got stuck on the main runway at Chennai airport after an emergency here at 9.08pm on Monday. A wheel of the ATR 72-500 plane was damaged.
The plane could not land at Mysore because of a snag in one of the landing gears
Forty six passengers were evacuated, and the plane was towed to the parking bay.
The main runway was closed for an hour, and nine flights used the second runway while a wide body Singapore Airlines plane was diverted to Bengaluru.
