Electric utility Torrent Power Ltd. (TPL) has forayed into the electric mobility infrastructure sector to set up EV charging stations. The company has set up four EV charging stations in Ahmedabad and two more are likely to be launched in Surat, the company said today.
“This is a major step towards a greener, cleaner and more sustainable future for the citizens of Ahmedabad and Surat. Electric vehicles emit zero pollutants and have the potential to significantly reduce emissions and improve air quality in our cities,” the company said in a press statement.
