MUMBAI About four days after a ticket checker Rajesh Gupta was assaulted onboard Vidarbha Express between Dombivli and Kalyan railway stations on Thursday, railways have launched a special drive to inspect its outstation trains.
The drive, consisting of railway commercial staff along with Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel, will be checking outstation trains for unruly passengers. The inspection of the trains will also be undertaken while the ticket checkers are checking the passengers’ tickets.
As many as 10 teams are formed in order to check outstation trains on zonal and headquarters levels in Maharashtra.
