NEW DELHI: India’s international connectivity this winter schedule (WS) will be almost 10% more than last winter. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has approved a schedule of 2,336 weekly flights in and out of India by 80 foreign airlines, 9.4% more than 2,136 last winter by 75 foreign airlines. Effective October 29, the schedule approved for these 80 airlines offers 5.9 lakh seats per week, up from last winter’s 5.5 lakh, says DGCA data.
These 80 include El Al that has postponed resumption of India flights due to the situation there.
