The progress on the proposed railway station between Thane and Mulund is facing significant delays as the Maharashtra government’s health department has not yet handed over a crucial four-acre land parcel to the Indian Railways, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP from Thane, Rajan Vichare, claimed on Saturday. The unresolved land transfer issue becomes a major roadblock in the timely completion of the railway station project.
Obstacles Beyond Land Transfer
Beyond the land transfer predicament, MP Rajan Vichare highlighted the additional challenge of slum encroachment on the earmarked land, further contributing to the delays in the proposed railway station’s construction. The presence of slums exacerbates the complexity of the project, requiring coordinated efforts to address the issue.
