HYDERABAD: Two hundred trees have been planted at the Nuclear Fuel Complex (NFC) at the ‘K K Sinha Udyan’ in Hyderabad inaugurated by Dinesh Srivastava, chairman and chief executive, NFC on Thursday. K K Sinha was the second chief executive of NFC and the udyan was set up in his memory.
K K Sinha passed away on March 16, 2017. Born on December 4, 1937, he did his BSc (tech) in chemical engineering from Madras University and MS in metallurgy from the US. He rose to become the CEO of NFC and was also the recipient of Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visweswarayya award. K K Sinha also had a stint as managing director of Midhani.
Dinesh Srivastava who inaugurated the Udyan and planted saplings is a distinguished scientist and chief executive of NFC. He is a metallurgical engineer from the University of Roorkee. He joined the 28th batch of BARC Training School, Mumbai in 1984. Subsequently, he was posted to BARC, Mumbai and served in various capacities for more than three decades. He has obtained Doctorate degree from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru.
