MUMBAI: Tata Power NSE -2.22 % on Thursday reported a 51 per cent year-on-year (YoY) rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 421.5 crore for the quarter ended September 2021. The power company’s revenue from operations in the reported quarter climbed 18 per cent on-year to Rs 9,810.2 crore.
The company’s strong quarterly performance was driven by its transmission and distribution segment, which benefitted from the surge in domestic power demand. Revenues of T&D segment jumped 48 per cent on-year to Rs 6,787.4 crore.
