Tata Power has taken various steps to meet its obligation to buy power from renewable resources. It has tied up various contracts based on ‘waste to power’ technology, small hydro power projects and solar power projects. It has got competitive rates ranging from Rs 5.921 to Rs 8.860 per unit.
