The Bombay High Court on Tuesday directed the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to consider paying additional compensation to the owner of two shops in Malad (West) that are to be acquired for widening of the SV Road.
The directive came while a division bench of Justice Girish S Kulkarni and Justice Rajesh N Laddha on April 18 dismissed a plea by Laxmichand Bhavanji Satra (71), who claimed to be tenant and occupant of two shops at SV Road, Malad (West) since 1955.
Satra has sought the court’s directive to the BMC authorities to allot a permanent alternative accommodation free of cost on SV road.
