Wind energy solutions provider Suzlon Group on Wednesday said it has bagged a new turnkey order of 48.30 megawatt (Mw) wind power project from Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL).
“The project consists of 11 units of S97 120m all-steel hybrid tower and 12 units of S97 90m tubular tower with rated capacity of 2.1Mw each.
“The project has the potential to provide power to 26,000 households and reduce 0.10 million tonnes of CO2 emissions per annum,” Suzlon said in a BSE filing.
Located in the districts of Jaisalmer and Jodhpur, Rajasthan, the project is scheduled for completion by March, 2017.
Suzlon Group Chief Sales Officer Ishwar Mangal said: “With our next generation technology, we continue to fulfill the growing demands of electricity. Suzlon is best positioned to leverage its technological expertise for the Indian terrain.

Suzlon shares were trading 7.61 per cent up at Rs 13.85 apiece during morning session on the BSE.
