Even after spending crores of rupees on the six-laning of National Highway-44, serious risks remain for the commuters travelling on it as stormwater drains are lying open at various places on both sides of the NH in the district limits.
At most places, the covers of the drains are broken, posing a serious threat to the public.
Due to the collection of trash, the drains are choked. As a result of the accumulation of water during monsoon, the open drains will not be visible to drivers. That may lead to some major accident.
