Sterlite Power Transmission Ltd (SPTL) is witnessing a churn in its senior management, as the Vedanta group company struggles to raise fresh funds and faces delays in project completion.
SPTL’s chief executive of global infrastructure Ved Mani Tiwari, and chief operating officer of global infrastructure Sanjay Johari, have already resigned, but will continue in office till 31 March, said one person aware of the development, requesting anonymity.
Rui Chammas, CEO, Sterlite Power Brazil, the other large geography that Sterlite operates in, left the company at the end of December, after serving for about a year and a half. In addition, senior project directors at STPL have either left the company or are in the process of leaving, said the person cited above.
